Cost of workshop which includes meals and lodging: $375. There is a $30 additional fee for materials.
In this two day class, leatherworkers Jeanne MacDonald and Maryellen Pratt will guide you through the making of your choice of a variety of projects including traditionally styled hunting pouches, properly fitted knife sheaths, haversacks, or woven straps. Other projects may be possible pending instructor approval. Techniques including material selection, design, layout, finishing and a variety of stitching and weaving styles will all be covered.
There is an additional $30 materials fee for this class. Students planning to make a sheath need to bring a knife for fitting.
Materials supplied by your instructors will include leather, fabric, thread, needles, dye and buckles. Your instructors can also provide all the tools you will need to work on your projects in class, however If you have your own leatherworking tools, feel free to bring them along.
